Natural stone and wood do not repeat with factory precision. Tone, grain, banding, translucency and mineral inclusions can shift from one component to the next. Those differences are part of the visual character that makes the material worth using.
What variation can look like
Stone may show fine veins, cloudy areas, pits, internal lines or small changes in polish. Wood may display growth lines, pores, darker end grain and gradual color change. Dyed or stabilized components can also differ slightly between batches.
Photography can show the overall design, scale and typical palette, but it cannot promise an identical mineral pattern. Screen brightness and surrounding light further change how color appears.
Variation has a limit
“Natural” should not be used to excuse every condition. Unstable fractures, sharp edges, loose hardware, visibly failing cord or damage that threatens normal wear are different from harmless visual variation. OREVYR inspects surface condition, joins, tension and balance before dispatch.
How to choose
Look first at the total composition: color rhythm, bead geometry, contrast and scale. Then read the material and construction notes. If a specific shade or pattern is essential, contact us before ordering; natural material can be selected only within the variation available in that batch.
